About this wine

1270 A Vuit Red Priorat DOQ Organic 2016 is a distinguished organic wine that captures the essence of this renowned Spanish region. Crafted from a blend of 40% Garnacha, 20% Carignan, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, and 10% Merlot, this red is rich, powerful, and full of character.

The 2016 vintage reveals intense aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, and a hint of liquorice, with nuances of tobacco and dried herbs. Full-bodied on the palate, with layers of black fruit, mineral depth, and a touch of earthiness. Velvety tannins and a long, persistent finish complete this exceptional wine.

Made from organically farmed grapes sourced from the steep, slate-rich terraces of Priorat, hand-harvested and fermented with minimal intervention. Serve at 16–18°C after decanting. Ideal with grilled meats, braised lamb, or a rich paella.

About the producer

1270 A Vuit is an organic producer in the Priorat DOQ, one of Spain's most prized wine appellations. Named after its remarkable elevation, the estate works high-altitude vineyards on the distinctive llicorella — black slate and quartz schist soils — that are the hallmark of great Priorat. Low yields from old Garnacha and Cariñena vines produce wines of concentrated, mineral-driven intensity with the structured tannins and complex fruit character that define this demanding Catalan wine region.
