A Bouquet, and It Means It
Viognier and Gewürztraminer are two of the most aromatic white grapes there are, and putting them together produces something openly perfumed. The nose gives white pepper, pear and apple, honeysuckle and a subtle spice, and the palate follows ripe, juicy and textured. It is rounded and well balanced, with a touch of sweetness that stops short of being a sweet wine and simply gives the fruit room to show.
Stellenbosch has the warmth to ripen these grapes properly and the cooling sea air to keep them fresh. Pour it with Thai green curry, a spiced tagine, or anything where a bone-dry white would be flattened by the heat. It also works beautifully on its own, chilled, as something more interesting than the usual aperitif. Vegan certified.
