About this wine
Nero d'Avola is Sicily's great indigenous red grape — a variety built for the island's brilliant sunshine, capable of producing wines of remarkable depth, richness and warm character. Arcano captures the essence of Sicilian viticulture in an accessible, well-crafted style from Botter, one of Italy's most experienced wine families with roots stretching back to 1928 near Venice.
Deep ruby in the glass, the wine offers an inviting nose of dark cherry, bittersweet chocolate and warm baking spice. Medium-bodied and smooth, the palate delivers ripe fruit, a touch of vanilla and soft rounded tannins, finishing clean and satisfying.
