Babylonstoren Chardonnay is a captivating white wine that exemplifies the finesse of this much-loved grape. Grown on the historic Babylonstoren estate in South Africa's Franschhoek region, it shines with an old-world charm that is both sophisticated and inviting. Bright yellow in colour, the bouquet offers quince, lime, and a gentle touch of vanilla.
On the palate, sleek citrus freshness is softened by creamy texture, nutty depth, and a fine mineral edge, finishing long and beautifully balanced. Crafted with meticulous care, the grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed before fermentation in both stainless steel and oak. Maturation in 50% new and 50% second-fill French oak barrels adds layered complexity and refinement.
