Produced at the renowned Babylonstoren estate, Nebukadnesar stands as a masterful expression of the Cape Winelands. This flagship Bordeaux-style blend combines 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, and 5% Malbec, each varietal crafted and matured separately in new French oak for 23 months before blending. The wine is then allowed to rest and harmonise before bottling, ensuring exceptional depth and balance.
Deep ruby in colour, it opens with fragrant notes of violets, thyme, and cigar box, followed by layers of blackcurrant, plum, and dark red fruits. The palate is structured and multi-layered, with fine-grained tannins and an elegant, lingering finish. Recognised for its consistent excellence and award-winning pedigree, Nebukadnesar embodies Babylonstoren's dedication to sustainability, craftsmanship, and timeless quality.
