About this wine

An Intense Expression of Aragon's Terroir

Bodegas Frontonio Telescopico is a captivating red from the rugged vineyards of Aragon, crafted with minimal intervention from hand-harvested old-vine Garnacha. Aged in French oak barrels, it achieves a harmonious balance between fruit expression and the subtle influence of wood. Certified organic and in Demeter biodynamic certification conversion, it reflects a genuine commitment to sustainable viticulture.

The nose reveals ripe blackberries, dark plums and earthy notes, with hints of herbs and a touch of spice. Full-bodied and textured on the palate, with rich flavours of black fruit, tobacco, chocolate and dried flowers, velvety tannins and balanced acidity leading to a long, smooth finish. Serve at 16–18°C alongside roasted meats, game or rich, mature cheeses.

About the producer

Bodegas Frontonio is an innovative Aragon producer focused entirely on old-vine Garnacha and Macabeo grown in the Valdejalón sub-zone. The estate works with ancient, ungrafted vines — some over 100 years old — planted in volcanic slate soils at altitude, crafting wines of remarkable purity and freshness. Their Telescopico and Microcosmico ranges have been celebrated internationally for redefining Garnacha's potential.
