About this wine

Dry Robertson Valley Gewurztraminer from Bon Courage

Bon Courage Estate has been home to three generations of the Bruwer family since 1927, farming the limestone-rich soils of Robertson Valley in South Africa's Western Cape. The estate is particularly celebrated for its Gewürztraminer — a variety that thrives in Robertson's warm days and cool nights, producing wines of remarkable aromatic intensity and natural freshness. This dry expression showcases Gewürztraminer at its most food-friendly: the characteristic floral and spice aromas without any residual sweetness.

Bone dry and beautifully aromatic, it opens with lychee, rose petal and exotic spice, with a clean, zesty palate and a lingering, fragrant finish. A wonderfully versatile food wine — outstanding with Asian cuisine, cured salmon, mild spiced dishes, grilled prawns or soft goat's cheese.

About the producer

Bon Courage Estate has been home to three generations of the Bruwer family since 1927, set amid the sun-drenched vineyards and limestone-rich soils of Robertson Valley in South Africa's Western Cape. Viticulturist André Bruwer and his son Jacques, the winemaker, produce a diverse range from Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinotage to Gewürztraminer. The estate's signature Special Late Harvest Gewürztraminer is particularly celebrated — a luscious expression balancing tropical fruit richness with vibrant natural acidity.
