About this wine

A Step Up the Prosecco Ladder

Asolo sits in the hills north of Treviso and carries DOCG status, the top tier of the Prosecco pyramid, which means tighter yields and stricter rules than the wider DOC. You can taste the difference. This one gives pear, melon and apple with honeysuckle and a hint of banana, and the bubbles are fine and persistent rather than frothy. It is well balanced and easy to enjoy, with a touch of sweetness that keeps the fruit generous.

Botter are one of Italy's most dependable producers and Brilla is their sparkling range. Open it as an aperitif, pour it over the top of a peach puree for a proper Bellini, or bring it out when something needs marking without anyone opening Champagne. Vegan certified, and a genuine upgrade on everyday Prosecco.

About the producer

Casa Vinicola Botter was founded in 1928 when Carlo Botter and his wife Maria began selling wine in the village of Fossalta di Piave, near Venice. Now in its third generation under Luca, Annalisa, and Alessandro Botter, the family company has grown into one of Italy's largest wine exporters, with a capacity of 23.5 million litres and a range spanning every major Italian appellation. Their own labels — including Cortestrada — capture each region's character with reliability and craft.
