Why we chose it“Ugni Blanc rarely gets a mention on a label, which is a shame. Light, floral and dry, and it does not ask anything of you.”

About this wine
Light, Floral and Undemanding
Ugni Blanc is one of the most planted white grapes in France and rarely gets its name on a label, which makes this a quiet pleasure. Blended with Clairette, it gives a wine of fine character on the nose, with clear floral notes and a light, subtle finish. Nothing is overworked. It is dry, gentle and refreshing, the sort of white that disappears from the glass without ever asking for attention.
Serve it very cold as an aperitif, or alongside a simple plate of white fish, a goat's cheese tart or a summer salad. At 12% it stays on the lighter side, which suits long lunches and warm evenings. A useful, well-priced house white to keep in the door of the fridge.
