About this wine
Butlers have been making chocolate in Dublin since 1932, and the Red Chocolate Assortment gathers seventeen of their chocolates into one striking red gift box. The selection runs across milk, plain and white chocolate, with hazelnut, coffee, raspberry and a gentle note of chilli among the fillings. Every piece is finished by hand, and the cocoa is sustainably sourced from West Africa. There is enough variety here that everyone finds a favourite.
The red box makes this an easy present at any point in the year, from Christmas mornings to birthdays and thank yous. It is suitable for vegetarians and contains no alcohol, which takes two awkward questions out of buying chocolate as a gift. Serve it after dinner with coffee, a glass of tawny port or a rich cream sherry, and the darker pieces in particular hold their own.
