About this wine
Nero di Troia is one of Puglia's most ancient and distinctive native grape varieties, cultivated in the sun-drenched hills of northern Puglia for centuries. In the hands of the Caiaffa family, it becomes a wine of real character and depth: organically farmed, honest in its origins, and expressive of the warm southern Italian terroir.
Deep ruby in colour, it is full of aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, and violet, framed by notes of sweet spice and a gently earthy undertone. On the palate, it's full and smooth with soft tannins and a warm, lingering finish. A superb match for grilled lamb, slow-braised meats, hearty pasta bakes or aged pecorino.
