Ruby red in colour, it offers aromas of ripe plum, blackberry and a touch of spice, unfolding into a smooth and rounded palate with soft tannins. Gentle oak ageing adds hints of vanilla and cocoa, giving extra depth while keeping the wine easy-drinking and versatile.

Founded as a partnership between Robert Mondavi and Viña Errázuriz, Caliterra champions expressive wines from sustainably managed vineyards. This Merlot is perfect for everyday enjoyment yet refined enough to serve with roasted meats, pasta in tomato-based sauces, or a simple cheeseboard.

About the producer

Caliterra is a Chilean wine estate established in 1996, now owned by the Errázuriz family in the Colchagua Valley. Rooted in a philosophy of respect for nature and the land — its name derives from the Latin for 'quality earth' — Caliterra focuses on varietal wines that express the character of their Colchagua terroir, producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Merlot, and Chardonnay of consistent quality and outstanding value.
