Why we chose it“Chilean Pinot at this price is unusual and Casa Silva pull it off well — light, silky, red cherry with a clean finish. Great with salmon or roast duck.”

About this wine
Casa Silva has been farming the Colchagua Valley since 1892 — one of Chile's oldest family wine estates and one of its most respected. Their Reserva Pinot Noir captures the elegance and freshness that Colchagua's higher altitude vineyard sites deliver, producing a wine that stands apart from weightier, warmer-climate expressions of this demanding variety.
Medium-bodied and silky on the palate, the wine opens with vibrant red cherry and woodland berry on the nose, with a touch of earthy complexity. Tannins are fine-grained and the finish is clean and lingering. An excellent food wine: equally at home alongside salmon, duck, mushroom risotto or a good cheese board.
