About this wine

Bordeaux Elegance

Owned by Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, Chateau des Laurets sits on the limestone slopes of Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion, an appellation celebrated for its rich yet refined Merlot wines. The 2018 vintage delivers plush layers of ripe plum, black cherry and subtle spice, beautifully framed by gentle oak and silky tannins.

Traditional vinification and careful barrel ageing bring balance, freshness and a long, graceful finish -- a hallmark of this outstanding Right Bank year. Perfect with roast lamb, beef or a simple cheeseboard.

About the producer

Chateau des Laurets is an 86-hectare Bordeaux estate in Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion and Montagne-Saint-Emilion, acquired in 2003 by Baron Benjamin and Baronne Ariane de Rothschild. With guidance from renowned oenologist Michel Rolland, the estate produces a Merlot-dominant blend of exceptional depth and generosity. The historic chateau, built around 1860 and featuring an octagonal tower, is a landmark on the right bank of the Dordogne.
