About this wine

Château La Tour de By 2014 is a consistent and failsafe Cru Bourgeois claret, blending 60% Cabernet Sauvignon with 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Ripe blackcurrant aromas with a refreshing menthol edge on the nose lead to a rich, fruit-forward palate with a touch of cedar spice. Winemaking at La Tour de By dates to the 1700s, with the estate today managed by the grandsons of Marc Pages across over 70 hectares of vineyards.

Serve at 16 to 18°C alongside rib of beef for a luxurious experience, or a hearty beef casserole. Enjoy now or within the next two to three years.

About the producer

Chateau La Tour de By is a large Médoc estate in the northern Haut-Médoc, overlooking the Gironde estuary. Producing consistent, classic Médoc wines of good structure and depth, the château offers excellent value for those seeking authentic Bordeaux character without the premium of classified growth pricing.
