About this wine
A bright, cherry hued red from the organic vineyards of Terra Alta, made entirely from Garnatxa Negra. The nose is complex, with plum and red fruits such as cherry, strawberry and blueberry, opening with air into cinnamon, pepper and liquorice. The palate has body and structure while staying elegant and balanced. The aftertaste is long, fresh and distinctly mineral.
Diorama farm organically in southern Catalonia, where old bush vines and poor soils keep yields low and flavours concentrated. This is a food friendly red, so pour it with lamb chops, a rich stew, or a board of aged Spanish cheeses. It will also reward half an hour in a decanter.
Where This Wine Comes From
DO Terra Alta lies inland in southern Catalonia, a high, dry landscape of old bush vines. The Garnatxa grown here ripens fully while holding on to a fresh, mineral edge.
