Why we chose it“Domaine Bel Air Pouilly-Fumé Les Pierres Blanches — mineral, smoky and precise. The Loire’s greatest Sauvignon Blanc appellation at its most compelling.”

About this wine
Domaine de Bel Air cultivates 13 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc across a diverse range of terroirs in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. The vineyards are planted on limestone soils at Le Bouchot, marl at Saint-Andelain, and sandy soils around Pouilly-sur-Loire, creating a wine that beautifully reflects the unique characteristics of each site. In the winery, great care is taken to preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of terroir, with careful vinification and extended lees ageing adding depth, texture and complexity.
The result is a beautifully balanced Pouilly-Fumé full of bright citrus flavours of lemon and grapefruit, complemented by notes of ripe pear, white peach and subtle tropical fruits. Aromas of fresh nettles, flint and mineral nuances add complexity, while the palate remains crisp, refreshing and elegant. The finish is clean, long and distinctly smoky-flinty. Suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets, and a superb match for seafood, grilled fish, shellfish, goat's cheese and poultry dishes.
