Why we chose it“Domaine Boutet Saulnier Vouvray Sec — dry Chenin Blanc from a reliable Loire domaine. Apple, quince and a long mineral finish. A serious dry white for fish or chicken.”

About this wine
Vouvray, on the north bank of the Loire east of Tours, is the historic heartland of dry Chenin Blanc in France. Domaine Boutet Saulnier farms the appellation's celebrated tuffeau limestone soils, a chalky, porous bedrock that gives Vouvray wines their distinctive minerality and ageing potential. In this sec style, the Chenin Blanc is fermented to complete dryness, showcasing the variety's naturally high acidity and aromatic purity.
The 2024 vintage delivers fresh apple, quince and white flower on the nose, with a clean, minerally palate that is bone dry and beautifully refreshing. Precise and focused, it finishes with a long, stony mineral quality that is the hallmark of great Vouvray sec. An excellent match for river fish, goat's cheese, chicken in cream sauce or simply as an apéritif.
