About this wine

A powerful and complex organic Gigondas from Domaine des Florets in the southern Rhône, blending 70% Grenache Noir with 30% Syrah in a wine of genuine depth and character. The nose is aromatic and inviting, with fresh strawberry, cherry and pomegranate giving way to earthy, savoury notes and a distinctive black pepper quality on the palate. Aged for 12 months split equally between second-use 600-litre oak and steel, it has richness without heaviness.

Gigondas is one of the Southern Rhône's most exciting appellations, producing wines of real weight and complexity from some of the most dramatic vineyard landscapes in France. This one is a perfect match for roast lamb or hearty braised beef, and it holds up beautifully alongside hard cheeses and a good board of charcuterie.
