About this wine
Navarra has been making serious rosado for far longer than Provence has been fashionable, and this Garnacha is a reminder of what the style can do when it is not chasing a pale colour. It pours a medium salmon pink, and the nose is full of ripe summer berries and cherry fruit. The palate follows through dry and characterful, with raspberry, strawberry and a bramble note on the finish. There is real flavour here rather than a whisper.
Garnacha is Navarra's signature grape and it gives rosado more body and fruit than the lighter southern French style. Serve it well chilled with charcuterie, grilled chicken or a bowl of paella, and it will hold up to spice better than most pink wine. At 11% it is gentle enough for a long lunch, and it is vegan certified.
