About this wine
Viura is the white grape of northern Spain, and blending it with a little Chardonnay rounds out the edges without losing its character. The colour is a pale straw, and the flavours run to lime, apricot kernel and yellow plum. It is dry and tangy, with citrus acidity that refreshes rather than bites, and it finishes clean and quick. At 11% it is one of the lighter whites on the shelf, which is exactly the point.
This is an easy wine to have around. It works as an aperitif, alongside a goat's cheese salad, or with white fish and a squeeze of lemon. Serve it properly cold, pour generously, and enjoy the fact that a second glass carries no consequence. Vegan certified and sealed under screwcap, so it keeps well once opened.
