Why we chose it

“Carmenere is Chile's own grape and gets nothing like the attention it deserves — ripe plum, a little spice, tannins already softened. Good with roast chicken or aged cheese.”

About this wine

Elemental Organic Carménère comes from one of Chile's most celebrated organic estates, crafted from 100% Carménère grown in the Valle Central. Cherry-red with violet hues, the nose offers ripe red fruits and delicate floral notes, while the palate delivers bright red plum and blackcurrant with subtle spicy oak. Twenty per cent of the wine spends eight months in French oak, lending velvety, softened tannins and a long, lingering finish.

Emiliana have farmed organically for over 25 years, achieving both Fairtrade and B-Corp certification, and use no synthetic pesticides, fertilisers or additives in the vineyard. A versatile red that pairs beautifully with seasoned poultry, pasta with spiced red sauces, or a well-aged cheese board.
