Why we chose it“Golden ale sits at the unglamorous end of the beer shelf, which is where the good drinking usually is. Clean, floral and dry — West Country cheese and cold meats, sorted.”

About this wine
Cheddar Ales is a West Country craft brewery taking inspiration from the dramatic limestone landscape of the Mendip Hills, its gorges and cliff faces. Goat's Leap is named after one of the most famous sections of Cheddar Gorge, a soaring stretch of rock above the famous gorge, and the beer is crafted to capture the clean, fresh and characterful spirit of the Somerset countryside.
Pale golden and bright in the glass, Goat's Leap opens with a fresh, floral aroma of meadow blossom, soft citrus and lightly toasted grain. The palate is clean and refreshing with gentle bitterness, crisp carbonation and elegant malt character, finishing dry and thirst-quenching. An excellent companion for West Country cheese, cold meats, light salads and summer afternoons in the garden.
