About this wine
Le Boisclair comes from Joseph Mellot, one of the Loire Valley's most respected names, with winemaking roots stretching back to 1513. Saumur-Champigny is the Loire's celebrated red appellation, where Cabernet Franc grown on limestone and tuffeau soils produces wines of striking purity and freshness. This 2023 vintage brings red cherry, blackcurrant and a violet-tinged florality on the nose, with a smooth, medium-bodied palate, polished tannins and an elegant, lingering finish.
Light enough to serve slightly chilled, Le Boisclair pairs beautifully with roast chicken, duck, grilled vegetables and charcuterie. A classically styled Loire red that sits between vibrant everyday drinking and genuine dinner-table interest.
