About this wine

Bold Spanish Character from the Heart of Jumilla

Juan Gil Blue Label is a vibrant and expressive Monastrell from Jumilla, one of Spain's most exciting wine regions. Crafted from old bush vines grown in the arid, high-altitude terroir of southeastern Spain, it delivers intense aromas of dark cherry, blackberry and wild herbs, with subtle hints of spice and violets.

Aged in French and American oak for six months, it has a plush, rounded texture with excellent structure and a fruit-driven finish that is both generous and satisfying. A brilliant everyday Spanish red that pairs beautifully with lamb, grilled meats, hearty stews, and mature cheeses.

About the producer

Bodegas Juan Gil is a family winery from the Jumilla DO in Murcia, southeastern Spain, founded by Juan Gil Jiménez in 1916. The estate is celebrated for its intensely concentrated yet approachable Monastrell wines drawn from old vines growing in arid, non-irrigated vineyards at altitude. Their Blue Label and Silver Label ranges have attracted critical acclaim and an international following.
