Kangarilla Road Montepulciano is a rich and expressive red wine from South Australia, showcasing the bold personality of this classic Italian grape variety. Deeply coloured and full of flavour, it offers generous notes of ripe blackberry, dark cherry and plum layered with subtle spice. Smooth, approachable and full of character, it has a velvety texture and gentle tannins that make it an excellent match for hearty pasta dishes, slow-cooked meats, pizza and grilled Mediterranean flavours. Vegan friendly.
Kangarilla Road is a family-owned winery in McLaren Vale, founded by winemaker Kevin and Helen O'Brien after purchasing their vineyard and winery site on Kangarilla Road in 1997. Kevin O'Brien, a Roseworthy winemaking graduate, produces wines in a restrained, approachable style that showcases the natural generosity of the McLaren Vale region. Although not certified organic, the vineyard is farmed using organic practices and the winery is a member of Sustainable Winegrowers Australia, with a strong focus on environmental responsibility and long-term vineyard sustainability.
