Loire Malbec from Its French Homeland
Before Argentina made Malbec famous worldwide, the variety was — and remains — at home in France's Loire Valley, where it is known as Cot. Les Vaublins Cot Malbec showcases this Loire expression: medium-bodied with a deep ruby colour and inviting aromas of ripe plum and blackberry, layered with soft spice and a touch of gentle oak.
On the palate the wine is smooth and well-structured, with supple tannins, balanced acidity and a lingering finish that speaks clearly of the grape's heritage. A versatile partner for grilled red meats, beef casseroles or hearty French country cooking.
