Melnik 55 is a stunning red wine crafted from the rare, native Early Melnik grape, grown in the sandy soils of Bulgaria's Struma Valley. This wine exhibits an intense ruby colour with beautiful violet reflections. On the nose, it presents a fragrant bouquet of fresh cherry intertwined with spicy notes and sweet vanilla from the oak ageing. The palate reveals great balance and elegance, featuring enveloping flavours, silky soft tannins, and a rich, persistent finish.

Artisan Craftsmanship

Logodaj Winery, established in 1994, is nestled in the sunniest and hottest part of Bulgaria, the picturesque Struma Valley, renowned for its long traditions in winemaking. The Early Melnik grapes undergo a pre-cold maceration for 4-5 days to retain their natural freshness and fragrance, followed by fermentation at higher temperatures. The wine spends 12 months in barrique for malolactic fermentation, resulting in a beautifully refined product.
