About this wine

Organic Corbières Rouge from Lux de Luc

Corbières is one of the Languedoc's most rugged and characterful appellations, stretching across the dramatic limestone hills and garrigue-covered slopes of southern France between Carcassonne and the Mediterranean coast. Lux de Luc produces this certified organic red from traditional Mediterranean grape varieties grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides, letting the wild, sun-baked terroir of the Corbières speak clearly in the glass.

Deep ruby in colour, the wine opens with dark plum, blackberry and hints of wild herbs, with a core of warming spice and earthy garrigue character. Full-bodied and satisfying on the palate with fine-grained tannins, it finishes long and dry — an honest, expressive organic red that pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, robust stews and hard cheeses from the region.

About the producer

Lux de Luc is a producer in the Corbières appellation of the Languedoc, one of France's most historic wine regions. Corbières produces robust reds, principally from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Carignan, with a distinctive garrigue character. The name Lux de Luc — Light of Luc — reflects the brilliant sunshine of this sun-baked Mediterranean region.
