Why we chose it“Viognier gives this lovely peachy perfume, but it stays fresh. My pick for a Sunday roast chicken, and a great swap for anyone tired of Chardonnay.”

About this wine
Olivier & Lafont Côtes du Rhône Blanc is a fresh, floral white from the southern Rhône, led by Viognier with Clairette and Grenache Blanc from vines of 35 to 45 years old. It opens with blossom and apricot, followed by ripe peach and a hint of quince. Medium-bodied and fresh, with lovely fruit and texture, it is a generous and approachable white with plenty of character.
Olivier & Lafont is the partnership of Baptiste Olivier and Gérald Lafont, two oenologists who consult for several Châteauneuf-du-Pape estates and make their own wines in Saint-Laurent-des-Arbres. Serve lightly chilled with a chicken Caesar salad, roast chicken, barbecued pork or creamy fish dishes. A wonderful alternative to Chardonnay for anyone who enjoys a fuller, aromatic white, and suitable for vegans.
