The Anthonij Rupert Optima is a wine of exceptional pedigree, carefully crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. This luxurious blend reflects the expertise and passion of the Anthonij Rupert team, and showcases the elegance of Bordeaux interpreted through the unique terroir of South Africa's Cape Winelands.
Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, the wine delivers an alluring nose of red fruit, blackcurrant, coffee, and dark chocolate, followed by rich layers of blackberry, cassis, vanilla, and spice. Undertones of cedar, cocoa, and tobacco leaf add depth, while velvety tannins provide a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. The finish is long, elegant, and rewarding – a true hallmark of fine winemaking.
