About this wine

Penfolds Bin 138 is a classic Rhône-inspired blend from the heart of the Barossa Valley, uniting Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro in perfect harmony. Deep crimson in colour, it is full of aromas of blackberry, plum and cherry, layered with notes of anise, pepper and subtle oak spice.

Aged in seasoned oak to preserve its vibrant fruit, Bin 138 displays a plush, velvety texture balanced by fine tannins and a lingering, savoury finish. It's a wine that captures both the generosity of Barossa fruit and the precision of Penfolds craftsmanship.

About the producer

Penfolds is one of Australia's most iconic wine producers, founded in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold and his wife Mary, who planted the first vines at Magill Estate near Adelaide. For over 180 years, the winery has pursued a philosophy of excellence and multi-regional blending, producing wines from the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, and beyond. Penfolds is best known for its Grange, Australia's most celebrated wine, and its enduring Bin series.
