Why we chose it

“Grapefruit up front with fennel seed on the finish, an odd pairing that works better than it should. Bristol-made, and it stands up to a strong tonic.”

About this wine

Psychopomp Woden Gin is a tribute to the Norse god of wisdom, war and poetry, produced in Bristol as a small-batch craft London Dry gin. It features a bold juniper-forward profile with strong grapefruit citrus, rounded off by fennel seed on the finish. The nose delivers vibrant aromas of citrus and herbal notes; the palate offers a complex blend of coriander seed, angelica root, cassia bark and fresh grapefruit zest with a smooth, lingering finish.

Best served with a premium tonic and a garnish of orange or rosemary, where its aromatic qualities can truly shine. Each batch is meticulously crafted in Bristol using traditional distilling methods, reflecting a commitment to the art of gin-making.

About the producer

Founded in an old grocery shop on St Michael's Hill in Bristol, Psychopomp is a small, independent, B Corp-certified and carbon-neutral microdistillery producing handcrafted spirits in 30-litre copper pot stills using the single-shot method. One of Bristol's original craft distilleries, Psychopomp takes its name from the ancient guide of souls between worlds.
