About this wine
Quinta das Maias is a highly regarded small estate in the Dão region of central Portugal — a cool, granite-soiled plateau protected by the Serra da Estrela mountains that produces wines of remarkable elegance and refinement. The estate is known for indigenous varieties including Touriga Nacional and Jaen (Mencía), which express the Dão's characteristic purity, freshness and mineral precision.
This 2023 Tinto is a medium-bodied red of genuine character: dark cherry, plum and warm spice on the nose, with fine-grained tannins and a warming, satisfying finish. An excellent food wine for grilled meats, robust pasta, roast lamb or Portuguese cured meats and cheeses.
