Schmitt Söhne Glühwein is the traditional German winter warmer, a red wine gently spiced with cinnamon, cloves, star anise, citrus and vanilla, then sweetened in the classic style. Warmed through, it fills the kitchen with the scent of Christmas and pours with soft, spiced red fruit and a comforting sweetness that makes it so easy to share. At 8.5% it is lighter than most wines, perfect for sipping through a long evening with friends and family.
This is the Glühwein you would find steaming in mugs at a German Christmas market, and the generous one litre bottle means there is plenty to go round.
