About this wine
From the sun-drenched vineyards of south-eastern Sicily, Senia Nero d'Avola is a bold, organic red that captures the soul of the island. Made by Azienda Agricola Cortese, this rich and expressive wine is fermented in small oak barrels, aged for a year in wood, and then matured in bottle to refine its depth.
On the nose, expect dark cherry, wild plum and sweet spice with touches of liquorice and tobacco. The palate is full yet fresh, with smooth tannins and a dry, savoury finish layered with notes of clove, cocoa and balsamic undertones. A confident choice for lovers of structured, characterful reds.
