About this wine

Crafted in the rolling hills of Somerset, Higher Plot is Smith & Evans' elegant expression of English sparkling wine: bright, refined and shaped by a cool climate that brings purity and finesse. Expect lifted citrus, soft white blossom and a fine, silky mousse that adds a graceful sense of celebration.

The classic trio of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir brings depth, balance and gentle richness on the palate. A beautifully poised sparkling wine, perfect for marking a special moment or adding sophistication to an evening meal.

About the producer

Smith & Evans is a small, artisan English sparkling wine producer founded by Guy Smith and Laura Evans at their Higher Plot Farm on the edge of the Mendip Hills near Langport, Somerset. Their single-hectare vineyard — planted with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay on well-drained south-facing slopes — produces wines of remarkable purity and precision using traditional Champagne methods. The Higher Plot Late Disgorged is a particular showcase of the depth achievable from this exceptional West Country site.
