Why we chose it

“Cherry liqueurs can turn sickly, but the apple spirit underneath keeps this one in check. Over ice, or poured straight over a pudding for people who claim not to want dessert.”

About this wine

Crafted in the heart of Somerset's cider country, Love Potion is a deliciously romantic blend of crisp Apple Spirit and rich Cherry Liqueur. Sweet yet balanced, it is full of ripe cherry notes, subtle apple fruit, and a gentle warmth that lingers beautifully.

Perfect served over ice, poured over pudding, or shared with someone special, a playful and irresistible taste of Somerset charm.

About the producer

Julian Temperley bought Burrow Hill at Kingsbury Episcopi in 1969, and spent twenty years fighting for the licence that let him distil — granted in 1989, reviving a Somerset craft that had all but vanished. Cider apples from the surrounding orchards are pressed, fermented and distilled on the farm, then aged in oak. The Slow Food movement recognised the work in 2003.
