Why we chose it

“Hazy, pale and with a tropical lift, which is not what you expect from Somerset. Serve it seriously cold — an easy, uncomplicated glass rather than a contemplative one.”

The result is a modern Somerset cider that feels both approachable and distinctive, ideal served well chilled for maximum refreshment. Whether enjoyed on its own or shared with friends, it is a crisp, fruit-forward option with plenty of appeal.

About the producer

Thatchers has made cider at Myrtle Farm in Sandford, North Somerset, since William Thatcher pressed his first apples there in 1904. Four generations have followed, with Martin Thatcher running the business since 1992 and the fifth generation now coming through. The orchards around the farm still supply the fruit, from Katy to the traditional bittersweet Redstreak.
