Why we chose it

“Most alcohol-free cider tastes like apple squash. This one is fermented fully before the alcohol comes out, which is why the sharpness survives — serve it very cold.”

About this wine

Thatchers Zero is a refreshing, alcohol-free cider that doesn't compromise on taste. Crafted at Myrtle Farm in Somerset using the same apple-loving expertise as the rest of the Thatchers range, it goes through the full fermentation process before the alcohol is gently removed, preserving all the depth of flavour you'd expect from a family-run cidermaker with over 100 years of experience.

Bright and golden in the glass with aromas of freshly cut apples and a touch of blossom. On the palate, clean and crisp with a satisfying balance of sweet and sharp, delivering classic cider flavours with a smooth, lightly sparkling finish. Alcohol-free (0.0% ABV), made with real cider apples, suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Best served chilled.

About the producer

Thatchers has made cider at Myrtle Farm in Sandford, North Somerset, since William Thatcher pressed his first apples there in 1904. Four generations have followed, with Martin Thatcher running the business since 1992 and the fifth generation now coming through. The orchards around the farm still supply the fruit, from Katy to the traditional bittersweet Redstreak.
