Golden Sweetness from Historic Tokaj
Crafted in the heart of Hungary's most celebrated wine region, this 5 Puttonyos Tokaji Aszú reflects the meticulous work of Tokaji Classic Winery — a small, quality-focused producer founded by Hungarian winemaker Gábor Osváth and his Spanish partner, Héctor Álvarez. Their cellar in Mád blends traditional craftsmanship with precise, low-intervention methods, allowing the character of Tokaj's volcanic soils to shine through.
The wine is made using hand-picked grapes affected by noble rot (botrytis), which concentrates flavour, sugar and acidity. These aszú berries are macerated in a base wine before gentle pressing and slow ageing in local oak casks deep in their historic cellars. The result is a luxuriously layered wine bursting with apricot, orange peel and honeycomb, beautifully balanced by Tokaj's hallmark freshness.
