Why we chose it“Two Rivers Saint Maur Sauvignon Blanc — a more restrained, mineral expression of the Marlborough style. Less tropical than the norm, more flint and herb.”

About this wine
A Rare and Singular New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc
This single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is made in tiny quantities from the Saint Maur Vineyard in the Southern Valleys of Marlborough, where 20-year-old vines express the true character of their place. Made with minimal intervention -- naturally fermented, unfined, unfiltered and low in sulphur -- the wine is aged for 12 to 18 months on lees in concrete egg tanks and clay amphora before a further 12 months in bottle.
The nose shows papaya, green melon and a refreshing note of cucumber, opening to a palate of almond, lemon zest, salt and cream with chalky tannins and fine, precise structure. Only 2,000 bottles are made -- a truly special find.
