Vignamaggio's Flagship Riserva -- A Legacy in Every Bottle
Named in honour of Gherardino Gherardini, the 14th-century founder of the historic Vignamaggio estate, this Chianti Classico Riserva blends organically farmed Sangiovese and Merlot from limestone-rich soils in Greve in Chianti. Ruby red with garnet tones, it opens with a bouquet of sour cherries, blackberries and ripe plum, interwoven with tobacco, spice and depth.
On the palate, rich forest fruit is supported by soft, bright tannins and a signature liquorice finish that lingers with elegance. Certified organic, this is a wine of genuine pedigree -- ideal alongside bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar ragu or aged Parmigiano.
