About this wine

Vignamante is a Chianti Classico estate situated in the heart of Tuscany between Florence and Siena, one of Italy's most celebrated wine territories. The estate's characteristic galestro soils, warm days and cool nights allow Sangiovese to express its full character: structured, aromatic and naturally food-friendly. Mezzanotte, meaning 'Midnight' in Italian, is a red wine drawing on classic Tuscan varieties and the Vignamante estate's deep roots in this exceptional region.

Well-structured and medium-bodied, the wine opens with ripe cherry, plum and a hint of dried herbs, with fine-grained tannins and a dry, savoury finish that is pure Tuscan in character. An excellent companion for tomato-based pasta dishes, grilled meats, pizza from the wood oven and hard Italian cheeses.
