About this wine

Bright Side of Life from Winzerhof Stahl is a lively, aromatic dry white from Franken in northern Bavaria, and every bit as cheerful as its name. Scheurebe leads the blend, with Sauvignon Blanc and a little Riesling, giving vivid notes of elderberry, grapefruit and crisp apple. Exceptionally refreshing, it is juicy and complex yet light on its feet, with bright minerality and a lingering finish.

Christian Stahl took over his family farm in Auernhofen when it had barely 1.5 hectares of vines, and has grown it to around 15 hectares on shell limestone and clay marl. Pour this with fresh salads, Thai and other Asian-inspired dishes, grilled fish or lightly spiced food, or enjoy a chilled glass on its own. A great introduction to modern German white wine from an independent grower, and suitable for vegans.
