About this wine
Pétillant Naturel, or Pét Nat, is the oldest method of making sparkling wine: the juice is bottled before fermentation completes, capturing its own natural bubbles. Zavec Brothers makes this 2023 example in Slovenia's Vipava Valley, where the Burja wind and a Mediterranean-Alpine climate produce white wines of vivid freshness. The result is a lightly hazy, bone dry sparkling white with crisp citrus, apple and a lively, gentle effervescence.
Serve well chilled as an aperitif or alongside shellfish, oysters, white fish or light salads. Natural, unfiltered and made with minimal intervention, it is a characterful alternative to conventional sparkling wine.
