Why we chose it“Oloroso is the boldest Sherry — dry, walnut, dark fruit, real depth. Serve it with a slow-cooked meat dish and you’ll never look at it as cooking wine again.”

About this wine
Barbadillo Oloroso Sherry is an amber-hued fortified wine from the historic Jerez region in southern Spain, produced by one of Sanlúcar de Barrameda's most celebrated sherry houses. Matured through oxidative ageing in the traditional solera system, with no protective flor yeast layer, it develops deep, complex aromas of toasted walnuts, caramel, dried fruit and warm spice over many years.
Full-bodied and dry on the palate with a long, warming finish, this is a wine of real depth and character that rewards those willing to explore sherry beyond the familiar. Serve slightly chilled alongside hard aged cheeses, roasted nuts, charcuterie or rich game dishes.
