Unwrap the Magic: The Wine Shop's Perfect Christmas Wine & Bubbles Case 🎄🍷🥂

The cosy nights are drawing in and we're starting to think about Christmas. We are delighted to share our Christmas Wine & Bubbles Case — twelve bottles chosen to carry you from Christmas morning through to Boxing Day and beyond.

Watch: Unboxing the Christmas Case

Starting with Bubbles

Italy — Sparkling Rosé

La Fornarina Rosé Prosecco

A fantastic wine for sharing with friends or for opening on Christmas morning. Lovely, fresh, and fruity — it pairs beautifully with strawberries and pastries. A great Christmas breakfast idea.

South Africa — Cap Classique

Jacques Bruère Cap Classique Brut

Made in the same style as Champagne with extensive lees ageing, so it's lovely and rich and toasty. A great wine for raising a toast on Christmas Day, or having with a mince pie before lunch.

Whites for Christmas Week

Hungary — Grüner Veltliner

Little Cricket Grüner Veltliner

Really zesty, very fruity, light, and easy-drinking. We recommend this one when friends are coming over during Christmas week and you want to open something to share — a lovely little wine.

Spain — Verdejo

Ilusionista Rueda Verdejo

This would pair really nicely with fish — we recommend it for Christmas Eve if you're going for a traditional fish dinner. A beautifully clean, aromatic Verdejo.

Bordeaux, France — Blanc

Dulong Bordeaux Blanc

A blend of Sauvignon and Sémillon — lovely and dry, nice and fruity. It pairs really well with starters such as smoked salmon and cream cheese, or a goat's cheese salad.

For Christmas Dinner

Veneto, Italy — White

Famiglia Pasqua Passimento Blanco

A really rich, lovely wine with lots of tropical flavours, a nice long mouthfeel, and reasonably full-bodied. Fantastically paired with turkey — our white wine recommendation for Christmas dinner.

New Zealand — Pinot Noir

Riversdale Pinot Noir

A beautiful light style of red, great for having with turkey, but with a nice bit of earthiness and a meaty texture that makes it genuinely interesting. Our red wine recommendation for Christmas dinner.

Bordeaux, France — Red

Pont-a-Pierre Lussac Saint-Emilion

A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon — a bit richer, a bit bolder, with lots of black fruits and a nice smooth finish. For those who prefer a fuller style of red with their Christmas dinner.

Boxing Day and Beyond

Puglia, Italy — Red

Marchese di Borgosole Salice Salentino

A smooth, very fruity red from the south of Italy. It pairs beautifully with beef — so if you're thinking of a beef wellington or another rich beef dish during Christmas week, this would be perfect.

Spain — Tempranillo Crianza

Tiempo y Tierra Tempranillo Crianza

Very similar to Rioja, with lots of black fruits and a lovely note of vanilla. A great one for Boxing Day — perhaps with your leftovers.

Dessert Wines

Port — Ruby

Windsor Special Reserve Ruby Port

A really fruity style of port — great with your Christmas Day dessert or Christmas cake, or later in the day when you're opening presents and unwinding.

Bordeaux, France — Sauternes

Prince de St.Aubin Sauternes

A beautiful sweet wine from the Bordeaux region, with lots of honey, lots of apricot, and a little spice. A perfect accompaniment to desserts over Christmas, or simply for enjoying with friends and family.
